Three weeks after finishing college, I caught a one-way Greyhound bus to New York and was soon illustrating for Valiant & ElfQuest Comics, painting book and album covers, and creating interior illustrations for various magazines and entertainment companies.
After 9/11, I left NYC, and relocated to New Orleans…just in time for Hurricane Katrina. Opportunity lives where most fear to tread, so I bought a flooded house in the 9th Ward. It’s beautiful now:)
In 2009, I completed my illustrated autobiography, “Lightsurfing: Living Life in the Front of My Mouth”. It’s a tale of making a living with wits and a paintbrush, and all the wild, weird, and wonderful things that happen as a result. You can read my interview about my book in the February 2010 issue of Fan to Pro.
Finally, if you’d like to see what trouble I’m getting into, as well as new art, please follow me on FaceBook. Thank you!
