The idea for Carouselle was first conceived while considering that we as humans often put animals in awkward positions to which we'd never subject ourselves. We put birds in cages, dogs on leashes, make lions jump through flaming hoops. To dress women in riding tack, impaled by poles, leaping gracefully, seemed a wonderful extension of this conceit....
