Three weeks after receiving my BFA, I caught a one-way Greyhound bus to New York City and landed my first job as a result from getting lost looking for a bathroom. Despite an extraordinarily successful (but thankfully short) stint selling animation to some of the world's top ad agencies, I began illustrating comics for Valiant, DC & ElfQuest, painting book & album covers, and creating interior illustrations for various magazines and entertainment companies.

I draw inspiration from many wells. Greek mythology, Eastern tribal dance, renaissance couture and psychosexual dreamscapes all twine into whimsically sensual imagery, manifesting in a thousand eclectic ways: from metaphorical allusion to human carousel horses, from lyrical dream-inspired fantasies to visual illustrations of moments for which there are no words.

After twelve years, three burglaries, two terrorist attacks, and one homeless-inducing fire, I’d had enough of the Big Hard and relocated to New Orleans, just in time for Hurricane Katrina. Still, I remain utterly inspired by this city: its ethereal light, graceful architecture, and undying passion for creativity, laughter and beauty.
