Quoilyns, which gallivant delightedly through many of my pieces in various forms, are the embodiment of carnality, desire, and avarice. This piece came from a cocktail napkin, as so many ideas do! That night, I had picked up about a dozen Irish boys on holiday in NYC, shortly after Ireland had won the World Cup (but that's another story). I was taken with their mindless, drunken wolfpack mentality, the fact that sexual desire and madness are very closely intertwined most people are slaves to the untamed and animalistic urgings of their inner natures, whether they accept it or not. The quoilyn tells the tale.
