Unpied Piper
(Original 15.5" x 13" - $2000)

A sister piece to Exuberance. The beginning of this watercolor actually preceded the previously completed one by almost two years, but was finished afterwards. I didn't think that I had the necessary skill to finish it, so it spent awhile, like so much of my work until now, under my mattress. When I finished Exuberance, I was so happy with all the tight detail work that I took out Piper and slammed it out in a few days. Amazing what joy and momentum do for the heart (and the hands).
