The Serpent, Nidhogg, gnaws the roots, the Four Stags, browse the branches, and at the top, the Hawk, Vethrfolnir, sits between the eyes of an Eagle. The Squirrel, Ratatoskr, carries messages between the Serpent and and Hawk, and makes mischief along the way.
And because I live in New Orleans, somehow, the Great Tree might look a bit like a live oak…
