Ever been in a relationship like this? You’re miserable together, but your lives are so intertwined that you can’t extract yourselves.

This piece came from looking at old illuminated manuscripts, seeing all those calm, pious faces, sweet animals, little birds, all wrenched up in Celtic knotwork, legs thrust through torsos, arms weaving through backs, and wondering “How would this look in three dimensions with real people?”

Not happy at all, was my guess.
